**About the Role**

We are looking for our next Outdoor Timber Specialist (Salesperson) to join our team, based at our Retail Store at **196 Springs Road, Hornby**.

You'll greet customers with a smile and 'can do' attitude, talk to them either in person or over the phone, finding out their product needs to ensure they get the best value option for their project. We work as part of a team here so being in the yard putting orders together, unloading/loading vehicles and putting product away may also be required.

Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

**Skills and Experience**

While a background in either customer service, sales, yard work, or farming may be an advantage, as full training will be provided, it is more important that you are able to demonstrate:

- Self-motivation and reliability.
- Honesty, integrity and a commitment to deliver what you promise.
- A friendly, energetic and positive personality.
- Physical fitness appropriate for lifting timber/posts with a commitment to safe work practices.
- A willingness to be trained and learn new skills.

You will need a full driver's licence (or the ability to get soon) as you will be required to drive our vehicles and get your F licence endorsement once trained.

From fence posts and accessories to farm buildings and furniture, we are very proudly Kiwi-owned and have built a solid reputation for providing high quality products for outdoor use.

We have purposely stuck to what we do best - being Outdoor Timber Specialists specialising in posts, poles, wire products, electric fencing, kitset farm buildings, treated sawn timber, treated plywood, outdoor furniture and a few important support products like cement, fasteners and tools.
