We’re growing our Data & Insights team and are on the lookout for a Senior Test Engineer - Data to play a pivotal role in our data quality and testing strategy.

In this role, you'll be hands-on in designing and executing automated and manual tests across our data platforms, including Snowflake, DBT, and Tableau. You’ll validate ETL pipelines, ensure data accuracy, and support a major legacy migration project to a new CRM platform. You'll work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Integration teams to ensure that data flowing through our systems is complete, consistent, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities will include:

- Collaborate with the QA Data Lead and cross-functional teams to define and implement QA strategies across data streams (API, system integrations, data flow).
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for ETL validation, reporting layers, and data pipelines.
- Conduct source-to-target validation, transformation logic checks, and data reconciliation.
- Support legacy-to-CRM data migration efforts, validating mappings, transformations, and final data loads.
- Test Tableau dashboards on Cloud Tableau to ensure accurate visualisation logic and alignment with business rules.
- Build and maintain automated data quality checks using DBT and other tools.
- Work closely with Data Engineers and Developers to troubleshoot data issues and confirm pipeline reliability.
- Communicate test results, issues, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes within CI/CD pipelines.

About You | Mōu

You’re a proactive and detail-oriented data testing expert, ready to lead from the front in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You’re just as comfortable writing complex SQL queries as you are communicating testing outcomes to stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring:

- 5+ years’ experience in software testing, with 3+ years specifically in Data Testing.
- Deep experience with ETL testing, including source-to-target mapping, transformation logic, and data quality validation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data concepts, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Solid hands-on experience with DBT, Snowflake, and Tableau (or similar BI tools).
- Proven ability to design and implement robust test strategies for large-scale data programs.
- Experience with test and project management tools such as JIRA, Xray, or similar.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and integration of testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
