Senior Test Engineer

**The Role**
The core responsibility of our testing teams is to perform software testing delivered via various forms of technical test solutions (automated and manual), ensuring our software is delivered to the highest possible quality, and provide testing leadership and support across assigned projects.
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be tasked with developing and growing the technical test capability in the testing team. As an experienced tester with strong skills in Automation, you will provide testing leadership and coaching where required, and peer review test documentation to ensure quality test standards are always maintained.
**On a typical day you would**:

- Maintain, enhance, run, and triage existing automated UI regression suites.
- Develop and maintain new technical test suites ensuring they meet the requirements of all relevant design documentation.
- Provide advice on the best technical testing approach for each project.
- Raise and manage the resolution of bugs identified via technical testing.
- Resolve or escalate testing issues and risks.
- Feed into the documentation and standard processes for testing activities.
- Facilitate the coordination of test environment requirements and planning in relation to technical testing.
- Develop/contribute to test strategies for assigned projects.
- Create/contribute to test summary reports
**Requirements**:
**What we are looking for**:

- Extensive experience as a Senior Test Engineer or Test Analyst across both manual and automation testing
- Experience writing Automation scripts and frameworks from scratch (Selenium preferred)
- Proven experience testing and working with responsive designs - Desktop/Mobile/Tablet.
- Recent exposure to working in a small Agile development team.
- Experience writing SQL queries including updates, delete and join.
- Previous experience with API testing using a tool like SoapUI or Postman.
- Excellent written and verbal English is required, as this is a customer facing role.
This role will be based in either Auckland or Wellington - applicants MUST be currently based in New Zealand and have valid working rights.
