**The Role**

We're looking to grow our Digital Engineering Team. This is a senior role and you'll be helping us to extend our capabilities with your excellent software skills and guidance. We have an existing small team, systems outlines, concepts, functional prototypes, test setups, and scripts - and we need to resolve these to deliver a real product to market.

Some of the things that you might be involved in during your first few months include:

- Working with the Product, Design, and Embedded Systems teams as well as our Front-end and Cloud engineers to build amazing products
- Building and maintaining API and services to support Mobile and Hardware development
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and development automation using DevOps, IaC, and scripting
- Building backend systems for distributed IoT components
- Helping with BAU operational support and troubleshooting

This position can be located anywhere in NZ as long as you are open to working remotely

**About You**

We think you’ll be a fit for this role if you possess the following:

- Self-motivation and drive
- Strong backend development or full stack development experience, ideally 8+ years
- Experience with Javascript, Python,.Net, Go or Java (we are mainly using Javascript at present)
- The ability to build backend software using popular frameworks and libraries from high-level architecture
- Capability to work as part of a team, but also able to focus on hitting individual milestones

Nice to have's:

- Experience with full stack development, as you could potentially be involved with front end development in the future
