Planned Care, part of the Delivery Unit within Hospital and Specialist Services, provides a platform for improving the way healthcare resources are designed and delivered. Planned Care reflects a new direction for publicly-funded healthcare in New Zealand by focusing on providing services based on clinical need and people's preferences to achieve better health outcomes, within the resources available, in a timely and respectful way. The team are involved in creating a system that is easy for consumers to access and use and helps them to manage their healthcare needs and stay as healthy as possible.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Medical Officer to join the Planned Care team as a **Clinical Lead**. This is a 0.3FTE 3 year secondment. The Clinical Lead will be responsible for providing clinical leadership on strategic and delivery issues relating to the national Planned Care work programme and ongoing improvement initiatives as part of the Reset and Restore Programme. This role will work closely with Regional Network Clinical Leads.

- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- A current APC
- Hospital and wider health system delivery experience of 5 or more years
- Knowledge of successful Planned Care strategies and senior level experience of successful implementation in Aotearoa or a similar healthcare system
- Proven experience successfully leading large diverse teams through change and achieving improved results while navigating a highly nuanced and complex system
