We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced people leader / manager with a technical background to join our Gallagher Security division.

You will be integral in the development of world-leading integrated access control, intruder alarm and perimeter security solutions delivering value to critical sites with some of today’s highest cyber security requirements.

**About the role**

Working in agile squads, the People Leader (Software Team Leader) promotes an environment in which the team can do their best work. This role makes sure the team has all the information they need, and the right feedback loops in place, to deliver valuable customer outcomes predictably and sustainably. People Leaders help their team learn and improve, sharing the team’s discoveries for the benefit of the broader organisation. They also look after team wellbeing and work to build their resilience.

In this instance the People Lead role is with our team focused on the ongoing development of hardware products for our world leading Access Control system. As such we are looking for a People Leader who has an understanding of software development so you can hit the ground running when you join the team. An interest or experience in embedded development, Cyber Security and cryptography would be a strong advantage.

- Bring a continuous improvement approach to all that you do, being proactive and taking accountability to reflect on practices and delivery and constantly try to make improvements
- Bring a wide toolbox of techniques to create and enable impactful change in mindsets, processes and practices, this may include the likes of organisational development, lean/six sigma, adult learning, leadership coaching or similar

**To succeed you’ll need**
- 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring software development teams, ideally in large and complex organisations
- 5+ years of experience in a software development environment
- Proven experience operating in scaled and distributed new product development environments
- A willingness to pitch in and help the team in their area of expertise e.g., software engineering or software testing
