Wētā FX is seeking an accomplished Graphic Designer to execute our in-house design requirements associated with the company brand.

We are looking for a creative who can develop briefs and execute strong imagery and ideas for our company crew gear; social media and web content; print advertising; and digital presentations.

**The Role**
The successful applicant will work directly with the marketing team on a variety of creative projects, mainly:

- Crew gear - Translating a brief into a strong graphic representation of our work for our company crew gear. Managing all aspects of production including: preparing final designs for print; checking and approving color and quality; selecting and sourcing garment types.
- Print advertising - Responding to a brief and creating the layout and design of print advertising for high-profile industry publications. Managing image quality and creating final artwork files.
- Social media and web - Working with the marketing team to conceptualize and implement fresh and inspiring visual content for the company website and social media channels

**Requirements**:
We are looking for somebody with proven ability to produce visually compelling work who possess the following attributes and skills:

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Good knowledge of printing procedures
- Strong print and digital experience especially in graphic design for apparel and print media
- Experience in all aspects of the creative process from concept development through to preparing the final design deliverable
- Knowledge of current trends in design, typography, illustration, film, photography and color
- Ability to work collaboratively and to a brief
- An interest in the art and technology of digital filmmaking
- Photography and/or illustration skills are an advantage
- A portfolio of work that clearly demonstrates experience and creativity
- A graphic design degree or similar
- 3+ years’ experience.
