**Senior Planner**

AT's Consent Planners project manage the consenting process undertaken by Auckland Transport for our projects.

We work closely with our Project Managers and our consultants to deliver the consents needed and can work on small projects with a big impact like road widening for safety improvements and larger more complex programmes like the Supporting Growth Alliance and Eastern Busway Alliance, Northwest Bus Improvement and Auckland Light Rail.

**Key tasks will include**
- Meeting with project teams including AT Project Manager, AT Planning Lead and external consultants and preparing project updates to Mana Whenua Kaitiaki Forum alongside the AT Planning Lead and AT Project Managers.
- Consulting with affected landowners and relevant stakeholders and assessing design plans and technical reports to determine Unitary Plan consent requirements and preparing memos outlining recommended consenting strategy.
- Assisting with preparation of monthly reporting including determination of key issues, risks and mitigation
- Mentoring support and training for junior staff

**About you**

Ideally you will have Minimum 5-10 years' planning experience in consenting ideally in infrastructure and public works and a sound understanding and knowledge of relevant planning legislation.

Your background would also ideally contain experience in working within political environment and engaging in public consultation processes both formal and informal
