**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
We are seeking a Senior Development Planner for our Development Planning team. Our Development Planning team provides and manages specialist technical transport advice into the review of development proposals that shape land use change and growth in Auckland and allow access to the activities which people undertake to meet broader quality of life objectives
Whilst we are ideally looking for someone with Development Planner experience, we are also open to looking at people who may have experience as a Transport Planner to join the team in 2025.
**Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?**
As well as having in significant experience in a position similar to that of a Transport planner, we are also looking for someone who has:
- Experience in working across multiple disciplines, understanding multiple professional points of view and negotiating an agreed way forward.
- A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Planning or similar discipline.
- A high level of technical experience in preparing and reviewing transport assessments and Integrated Transport Assessments is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in providing feedback and coaching and/or quality assurance.
- Demonstrated experience of problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
