**About the Role**
Our Child Health Service is the perfect size for you to gain wide exposure to neonatal and paediatric medicine with excellent consultant and multi-disciplinary team support. We have a strong core of general paediatrics with subspecialists in paediatric developmental, endocrine, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, neurology, and respiratory medicine. A tertiary level neonatal intensive care unit is located on campus and our paediatric surgery, and Haematology/Oncology services provide care across the entire South Island, so you will gain invaluable experience.

Facilities within Canterbury District include:
- Christchurch Women - s Hospital
- Hillmorton Hospital and the Princes Margaret Hospital - Mental Health Services
- Burwood Hospital - Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation Services, including the Spinal injuries Unit.
- Ashburton Hospital - General Hospital, south of Christchurch

- Gain experience across inpatient and outpatient general and subspecialty paediatrics, children - s haematology and oncology and neonatal medicine.
- Enhance your career with first class training and supervision from the Medical Education & Training Unit (METU)
- Be supported by our Resident Doctors - Support Team (RDST)
- Access support at all hours, including after-hours support from the Clinical Team Coordinators and SMOs
**About you**
- You will have at least 6 months' experience in Paediatrics at the level of House Officer or Registrar.
- Knowledge and commitment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how the principles can be applied to health.
- A willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset, both to assist Māori and minority groups.
