Our Opportunity
We're recruiting 2 x Regional Health, Safety & Environment Managers to join a dynamic, energetic and high-performing HSE team

**Key accountabilities of the role include**:

- Leading the development and delivery of strategic plans and objectives
- Driving & supporting the region to address critical risk focus areas through safety and environmental improvement projects including those relating to machinery safety, contractor management, LOTO, traffic management, chemical safety, the environment & manual handling.
- Providing “on the ground” support within your region for specialist HSE tasks (e.g. risk assessments, identification of complex solutions & in-depth investigations) ensuring that the approach used is one that focuses on building the HSE capability of site HSE Managers and Co-ordinators along with the management/leadership teams.
- Supporting sites and teams with the completion of SMS and EMS compliance activities
- Executing on-the-floor leadership by influencing and engaging our people
- Driving hazard, near miss reporting, the completion of investigations and safe behaviour initiatives
- Ensuring thorough management of high-risk events and supporting sites with incident investigations, alerts and corrective actions
- Overseeing and supporting the management of HSE during capital investment projects
- Playing a leadership role in the management of HSE systems and providing coaching in the effective use of HSE systems including the contractor management system, GFs electronic reporting tool and online training system.
- Lead the planning and delivery of specialist projects addressing areas of critical risk across the business.
- Support with providing cover for key HSE tasks while sites are recruiting for replacement HSE Managers & Co-ordinators
- A great communicator with an inspiring and engaging approach
- Highly competent with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, communication & coaching skills. Ability to present complex issues in a way that engages the audience
- Strong understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (and associated regulations)
- Experienced in working with the ACC Accredited Employee Partnership Programme
- A competent internal auditor
- Experienced in strategy development, delivery& reporting
- Experienced in manufacturing-related risks
- Willing to travel within your region and on some occasions to other locations nationally.
