**The role**:
As a key member of the Project Management Office, your role is to is to ensure all technical and commercial requirements of tender submissions are attended to across our Power and Communication Services business. You will review, log, develop and request tenders from subcontractors and suppliers, obtain delegated approval to submit tenders on time and consistent with Delta’s Quality Management System.

**Qualifications sought**:

- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar (essential)
- Full, clean Class 1 driver license (essential)
- Trade based or diploma level electrical qualification (highly advantageous).

**What you need to succeed**:

- Demonstrated experience managing tender processes within a contracting environment
- Proven experience working as an Estimator in New Zealand
- Commercially astute with solid working experience and a sound understanding of AS/NZS3910
- Demonstrated experience accurately interpreting conditions of contract, specifications and drawings
- Proven ability to develop innovative construction methodologies that have delivered quality outcomes
- Excellent report writing and data analysis skills
- Budget preparation and management skills
- Computer literate with intermediate level proficiency for MS Word, Excel and Project.

**In the ideal world, you will also bring**:

- Experience in high voltage or utility/civil engineering projects which involve multiple disciplines
- Experience with Benchmark estimating software.
