**Where you’ll be working**: Women’s Outpatient Clinics, Waikato Hospital

**The details**:12 month fixed term - 80 Hours per fortnight, Monday - Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to provide leadership within the Women’s Outpatient Clinics. The role supports the Charge Midwife Manger in taking responsibility for safe and effective management of resources, and ensures the delivery of excellent patient services, with the primary focus on providing nursing support, management and leadership. You will work alongside the Charge Management team within Women’s Health that consists of four Charge Midwives, one Charge Nurse and 7 Associate Charge Midwives. This is a 12 month fixed term for maternity cover.

The Women’s Outpatient Clinics run over 35-50 clinics per week. Our Women’s Outpatient clinics include Gynaecology, Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy, Urodynamic, Early Pregnancy Assessment, Termination of Pregnancy, High Risk of Cancer, Diabetes and Antenatal Clinics

You will be required to demonstrate strong leadership skills, provide education, and support the implementation of local and national initiatives. You will need to have clinical coordination skills and enabling a safe practice environment.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

- a current New Zealand annual practicing certificate
- a minimum of 5 years post registration experience
- have or are working towards a post graduate nursing qualification
- has PDRP at a proficient level or above
- demonstrates highly effective communication skills
- is committed to quality service
- has effective leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate a diverse team
- demonstrates experience in embracing change
- demonstrates commitment to a customer focused service delivery
- has excellent time management
- is inclusive and is a positive team member
- a ‘can do’ flexible attitude and can work rostered and rotating shifts
