Kreem Cafe Harris Road is currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and experienced baker to join our team. If you pride yourself on creating exquisite baked goods which not just taste amazing but are a visual delight, we have a great opportunity for you

To succeed in this role, you will need to:

- Have baking experience of at least 2 years
- Be a team player who is hard working and reliable
- Have good English communication skills
- Have sound food safety and hygiene knowledge and practices.

Your job will include:

- Prepare and bake a variety of items such as cakes, slices, muffins, scones, pies and pastries.
- Monitor and control oven temperatures effectively and accurately.
- Mix ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. Chocolate ganache, caramel sauce, fruits etc)
- Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream and edible toppings.
- Measure and portion ingredients accurately and minimise wastage.
- Ensure equipment and bakery environments are operational, tidy and in good condition
- Recommend recipes to update menu (e.g. Gluten free or vegan desserts and savoury items)

We don't open on public holidays

2 weeks off in Christmas period.

Skills and experience

Qualified or experienced cake baker / pastry chef. Modern cake decorating skills and flair.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- East Tamaki, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
