Service: Research Office

Contract: Fixed-Term, 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week)

**Salary**: $70,000 - $90,000 (pro rata)

**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our research team in Wellington Regional Hospital. The role will manage and maintain research databases and provide statistical support to research project data for Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand - Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley researchers.

**Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team**

The Research Office supports and oversees research activities in both Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Hospital. We have a great team with majority of staff having experience in many research-related areas dedicated to improving health outcomes for our communities, with a strong focus on equity for Māori, Pacific peoples and people with disabilities.

**Moū - About you**

To be successful in this position, you will have strong computer skills and interpersonal skills. You will also need exceptional organisational skills, a high level of initiative, attention to detail, the ability to work independently and manage matters in a confidential manner.

Key skills and experience:

- Experience in clinical research and data management
- Strong interpersonal skills, builds rapport and relates well with people
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo and view things from different perspectives; fostering innovative thinking and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated competency in computer skills, including using a range of Microsoft packages
- Understanding of and a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
