Customer Service Representative

**To serve customers willingly, always putting their needs first. Be cheerful and polite to all customers and visitors on site. This includes smiling and greeting every customer. Never be rude or disrespectful towards a customer - no matter the circumstances**:

- **To assist customers requiring help in the shop or on the forecourt**:

- **To handle customer complaints with courtesy and where necessary pass them on to the Manager/Owner.**:

- **To train other employees as directed by the Manager/Owner**:

- **To report all accidents, injuries and incidents to the Manager/Owner as soon as practicable but no later than the end of your shift.**:

- **To adhere to all health, safety and security procedures established on site**:

- **To be prepared to work overtime and take additional responsibilities as requested by the Manager/Owner.**:

- **As soon as practicable after the beginning of each shift, the appropriate tasks are undertaken such as replenishing stock, replenishing oil wipe dispensers, picking up rubbish and emptying rubbish bins. To check in any incoming stock against packing slip/invoice and record as “goods in”**:

- **To display and present stock in an attractive manner to encourage sales as directed**:

- **To attend training courses and keep up to date with relevant information as directed**:

- **To ensure that all forecourt equipment is kept clean and well maintained. All pumps and shop floors are to be cleaned on a daily basis, cleaning duties are to be undertaken as per the cleaning roster**:

- **To ensure that all amenities are cleaned daily, and supplies are replenished as necessary**:

- **To minimise and report all drive off’s and accidents that occur to the Manager/Owner**:

- **To report to the Manager/Owner any damaged equipment. The Manager/Owner must be informed immediately of any pumps that are out of order**:

- **To provide proactive customers with a service that includes any or all of the following**:

- **Serving a customer with CNG/LPG/Diesel/Petrol**:

- **Checking water and oil and replenishing as necessary**:

- **Processing cash/charge/credit card/EFTPOS/cheque sales accurately at the till**:

- **Processing receipts on account at the till and recording details**:

- **Plus any other appropriate tasks**

- **To ensure that at the end of each shift the tasks as required are undertaken, for example, reading pump meters; dipping tanks and recording the readings; bringing all forecourt equipment and stock inside; locking public toilets, trailers, freezers, the compressor and car wash facilities**:

- **To ensure the till/change float is correct at the beginning and end of each shift**:

- **To prepare the site for opening/closing as per Company policy**:

- **To ensure the till area is not left unattended when people are in the shop and to make sure that the till drawer is closed securely after each transaction**:

- **To ensure that the till does not exceed the maximum cash limits permitted by the company and to make regular cash drops discreetly.**:

- **To sign off the till and EFTPOS terminal at the end of the shift ensuring that all required reports are completed.**:

- **To ensure that at the end of each shift all cash, credit cards, cheques, till tapes, EFTPOS tapes, petrol vouchers, workshop jobs and any invoices received during a shift are placed either in a safe or in a securely locked cabinet**:

- **Telephones must always be answered promptly and in the manner instructed, and to be helpful and courteous to the caller**:

- **Any other reasonable duties required of the employee by the employer.**:

- **The employee’s job description will be reviewed each year (and from time to time as may be considered appropriate by the employer) as part of the employee’s annual performance review.**:

- **The employee is required to have and maintain (at their cost) their own suitable basic tool set. The employer will supply all other tools and equipment that may be required.**:

- **And any other duties as may be required from time to time.**
