**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Clinical Coding Training & Development Plan
- Managing the enrolment of coders into HIMAA training courses
- Delivering entry-level training as required
- Providing ongoing supervision and mentorship to new coders
- Mentoring senior-level coders in quality aspects of the Clinical Coding Service
- Ensuring availability of resources, equipment, and technology for training and development

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

Ideally, you will have the following capabilities and experience:

- Proven experience as a Clinical Coding Trainer
- Completion of an approved Advanced ICD-10-AM Clinical Coding Course
- Current Clinical Coder Certification - recognised qualification in clinical coding auditing and experience
- Proven experience of quality management in a clinical coding environment
- Proven ability to manage effective relationships
- Experience in the use of 3M Codefinder software and TurboCoder
- Competency in the use of Clinical IT systems

**This role requires and/or would benefit from the following: -**
- Competency with te ao Māori, and tikanga or a willingness to learn and grow
