**The role | Te tunga**

This fixed term (12 months) part time (30 hours per week) role is based in Wellington, reporting to the Senior Manager - M ori Outcomes. You will:

- Provide secretariat support to the new Crown - M ori Statistical Design Forum, co-ordinating hui, agendas, documentation and follow-ups
- Support the Forum's role in bringing M ori perspectives into major initiatives such as Census and the Integrated Statistical Data System
- Work alongside iwi and M ori partners, internal teams, and government agencies to support M ori data aspirations and embed kaupapa M ori approaches in our mahi

This mahi matters because your contribution will directly support M ori voices being present in places where national data design choices are made, creating more trusted and enduring outcomes.

This role would suit someone who can bring:

- Experience providing coordination or administrative support for forums, hui or working groups
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear meeting notes and supporting documents
- Some experience working with M ori, iwi, and hapu or genuine interest in building this experience
- Awareness of public sector processes and the machinery of government
- An interest or experience in M ori data kaupapa, system design, or iwi-Crown partnerships
- Confidence in your own cultural capability, or willingness to actively grow this, fluency in te reo M ori and demonstration of m tauranga M ori are valued
