**Te Tūranga | About the role**
As a Noise & Vibration Specialist, you'll be part of our amazing Regulatory and Compliance Group, where you'll get to use your skills and knowledge to protect the environment and the community from unwanted noise and vibration. You'll work with the City Plan, The Resource Management Act 1991, and resource consents to ensure everything is in harmony.
Responsibilities of the role will include;
- Responding to and investigating complaints
- Field monitoring, ensuring compliance with resource consents, the Tauranga City Plan, and relevant standards and regulations
- Project work, ensuring compliance for large projects or events within Tauranga City
But it's not just about the numbers. You'll also need to have excellent communication skills, as you'll be liaising with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice, and resolving complaints. You'll also have the opportunity to learn from our awesome Senior Noise & Vibration Specialist, who will mentor you and support your professional development.
**Ngā Pukenga | What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you'll bring;
- Tertiary qualification in Resource Management or other relevant qualification eg. BSc.
- 3-5 years' experience in a noise, vibration or compliance role.
- High level of communication skills and proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Local government experience would be preferred but not essential.
