Silky Otter is a New Zealand owned cinema chain with four locations: Orakei and Ponsonby Central in Auckland, Wigram in Christchurch & Richmond in Nelson.

We are seeking passionate and experienced **BAR & WAIT STAFF** to join our team at our new Ponsonby Central location.

This bustling boutique cinema and bistro is the talk of the Auckland cinema market with its staff and service second to none, providing a fully immersive cinema experience from the moment guests book through to finishing their meals and viewing their choice of film.

**About the Role**:
We are searching for detail-oriented waiters, who know what it means to make sure every guest experience is truly exceptional.

Ideally you will have experience as a waiter or bartender, a good knowledge of food and beverage, the ability to communicate and up-sell food and beverage offerings and a passion for hospitality.

The role reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and involves a range of responsibilities including (but not limited to):

- Accurately taking food and beverage orders and serving food and beverages to dining and in cinema guests.
- Efficiently prepare mixed and bottled beverages to serve to guests with a comprehensive understanding of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
- Report to the Restaurant Manager & follow instructions when given, while also being able to work independently.
- Work cohesively as a team using a station/section system to ensure a smooth service for staff and guests.
- Be available to work rostered days including evenings, weekends, and some public holidays
- Have great time management and organizational skills.

**Salary**: $23.00 - $26.50 per hour
