Join one of New Zealand’s leading suppliers of party accessories and costumes We are seeking a driven and professional **Retail Supervisor** who is eager to develop their career in the retail and party supplies industry.

**Position Details**:

- Role Type: Full-time, permanent
- Location of the job: Silverdale - Auckland
- The minimum guaranteed hours of work per week: 30 hours
- The maximum hours of work per week: 50 hours
- The minimum and maximum rate of pay or salary**:$24-$28 per hour** (depending on skills and experience)
- Provide excellent customer service through customer engagement and product knowledge and advice.
- Drive sore sale performance, profitability and customer satisfaction through excellent customer service and sales techniques
- Act as a role model to improve store staff capability in customer service and sales techniques
- Support the store staff with customer complaints, escalating complaints to the Store Manager if necessary.
- Assist the Store Manager to ensure the smooth running of the store by communicating with internal departments on product supply, orders, delivery arrivals etc.
- Periodically manage the store during times when the Store Manager is absent, for example leave and non-working days.
- Assist the Store Manager with store budgets, financial records, cash and payment systems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with the upkeep and condition of all store equipment, fixtures and fabric.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the IT and other essential in-store systems.
- Liaise with external agencies and authorities as necessary, including advertising, PR, recruitment, training, fire services, police, local council, health and safety inspectors.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: At least 6 months of relevant retail or supervisory experience.
- **Qualifications**: No formal qualification required.
- **Other requirements**:

- Strong interest or knowledge of the retail and party supplies industry.
- Hardworking, reliable, and punctual.
- Positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Pre-employed drug test required.
- No criminal record
