**Starting salary: $ 83,195 - $ 92,004 + superannuation**

**The role | Te tūnga**
We have a permanent Design Analyst role in our Methods & Design branch.
Our Methods & Design teams provide methodological leadership and technical support across Stats NZ and the wider data system.
This vacancy is in our Research and Development Hub, a team that delivers a customer driven research programme to ensure we have the methodologies and statistical capabilities to meet our future organisational and data system needs. This includes methods to create census like information from administrative data.
Working alongside our experts, you will play a key role in developing and producing some of New Zealand's key statistical releases and future products.
This role would suit someone who can bring:
- experience in a similar role that included a large component of delivering work of a statistical or technical nature.
- Experience using statistical software e.g. R, to extract and analyse data, and the ability to pick up new tools quickly
- Great written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence a range of people.
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring others
- Examples where you've demonstrated leadership, e.g. lifted others up, led by example, demonstrated problem solving, owned a project or piece of work, spoken up for yourself or others.
- Knowledge or commitment to developing understanding of Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo, Te Ao Māori.
- Demonstrated advocacy for, or support of, diversity, equity and inclusion.
