The main purpose of this role is to support the kitchen team at Ibis Wellington in maintaining clean and orderly kitchen areas at all times. This includes ensuring that all Food & Beverage outlets have access to sanitized equipment, while adhering to food-handling practices in compliance with current Health and Hygiene regulations. **Key Responsibilities**: - Assist in food preparation as instructed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team. - Ensure that all food prepared aligns with kitchen recipes and quality standards. - Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchens, following current Health & Hygiene regulations. - Supply each outlet with sanitized, clean, and dry operational equipment. - Count, sort, and prepare operating equipment as needed. - Handle chemicals and equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions. - Safely store all operational equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware in a hygienic manner. - Adhere to regular cleaning schedules and standard procedures for deep cleaning of floors, walls, coolers, ovens, and operating equipment. - Contribute to cost control by conserving energy and using water, cleaning materials, and appliances responsibly. - Collect and dispose of garbage correctly from all kitchen areas during each shift. - Utilize safe and hygienic methods for the removal of both dry and wet waste. **Key Requirements**: - Flexibility in work schedule - Ability to work efficiently under pressure - Motivated and driven - Strong organizational skills - Willingness to work on a rotating roster - Must be a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa/permit **Benefits**: - Staff meals provided while on duty. - Uniforms supplied and laundered. - Accommodation discounts and a free Anniversary Stay. - Discounted benefits within the Accor network. - Staff celebration and tenure recognition. - "Bring your mate to work" program. - Employee Assistance Program. - Fantastic career growth opportunities. - Ongoing training, learning, and development opportunities.
