As a Kitchen Hand, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. Your efforts will help our chefs create memorable meals by ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised and well-stocked at all times.

**Your role includes the following tasks**:

- Assisting with basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen team.
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment promptly.
- Keeping all kitchen surfaces and work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Removing waste and recycling regularly, ensuring disposal areas remain organised.
- Assisting with the receipt, storage and rotation of food and kitchen supplies.
- Following all health, safety and food handling procedures at all times.
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with general tasks to maintain workflow during busy service periods.
- Helping set up and pack down kitchen areas as required.

This is a part-time position, working across a 7-day roster, waged at **$25.42 per hour**.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a kitchen hand or in hotel service roles is preferred but not essential
- A friendly and professional attitude with a passion for hospitality
- A team player who can adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility to work a rotating 7 day roster with shifts that may start as early as 6am or finish late at night
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices
- NZ citizenship, permanent residency, or a current and valid work visa/permit. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
