**About the company**

A national construction company who specialise in design and build in industrial, commercial, public and rural markets. NZ owned and operated, with solid history, traditional values and an innovative approach.

**About you**

You’ll have strong relationship building skills and be equally comfortable on site or in the office. A personal approach is key to engaging with customers and contractors, providing support, technical knowledge and guidance on all health and safety related matters.

While you may have worked in the construction environment previously, it’s not essential as there’s support for developing your industry knowledge; a proactive approach, fresh ideas and all-round capability are what my client is looking for. A visible leader for safety, you’ll also mentor and provide support to the Project Coordinator.

**Duties will include**
- Review and update of risk registers
- Support managers with reporting and incident management
- Carry out investigations
- Assist with injury management and return to work
- Conduct site and office-based audits
- Maintain training requirements
- Support sites in other locations as needed

Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Manager, this team enjoys regular catch ups to share ideas and knowledge. Membership of industry bodies is encouraged and you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects. There are no clipboard warriors in this team - you’ll provide the HS perspective and technical expertise to increase the capability of the workforce so they can own their safety.
