**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

The Clinical Data Analyst is instrumental to ensure the Wellington Blood and Cancer Centre, Te Whatu Ora Capital Coast and Hutt Valley is able to meet and maintain Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) accreditation. The successful applicant will have a passion for data and will work in collaboration with the Capital Coast Haematology team and the FACT accreditation coordinator, to collate and audit data, update and maintain clinical registrys and write reports to support the FACT accreditation.

Oversees implementation, coordination and evaluation of all data aspects of the Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (TCT) Programme to meet the overall goals and objectives. Responsible for the mandatory collection, accuracy, timeliness and analysis of bone marrow transplant patient care data submission to the Centre for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) and Australasian Bone Marrow Transplant Recipients Registry (ABMTRR). Supports the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) accreditation by performing data audits and review/update of data related to Standard Operating Procedures. This includes database maintenance, data analysis, creation of regular reports and development of clinical quality tools. Assure initial provider/staff training for required documentation of patient care, research consent completion, and participation in Mortality & Morbidity meetings.

The role provides direction for the ongoing development, improvement and implementation of a quality and risk management framework which ensures effective structures and processes are in place to deliver safe, high quality care and also meet and maintain standards and accreditation.

The Wellington Blood & Cancer Centre (WB&CC) incorporates the specialties of Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology into an integrated regional and supra-regional cancer service for both inpatients and outpatients. Services provided in the WBCC include specialist consultation and treatment for referred Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Haematology patients either in Wellington or outreach clinics.

The WBCC team is a hardworking, friendly and supportive team who are passionate about providing a high level of care to patients accessing oncology, haematology and radiation services.

**Moū - About you**
- Previous Hematology or Bone Marrow Transplant knowledge
- Passion for data and auditing
- Ability to implement and maintain databases
- Detail orientated
- Savvy with health care patient management systems
- Sound knowledge of using Excel and graphing of data
- Prior experience in HCT or Cellular Therapy clinical research (data manager, clinical research coordinator, transplant coordinator, etc. - is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CIBMTR Data Collection Forms and HCT/Cellular Therapy research data.
- Clinical knowledge of cellular therapies and/or hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

The role can be undertaken by a registered health professional, for example it is well suited to a nurse experienced in haematology therapies or a senior laboratory scientist.
