This role is based on the Tūhuratanga / Discovery floor of Tūranga, our beautiful central city library. Tūhuratanga is an information-rich floor with an extensive non-fiction collection. It offers quiet spaces for work, study and reading, and vibrant spaces for people to meet, connect and learn something new.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, customer-focused, and creative library professional. You will have a passion for engaging with your community and the skills and confidence to develop, promote and deliver innovative library programmes, events and services.

In this rewarding role you will move seamlessly from delivering a classroom session on eResources, to planning an event to engage the community, to assisting a customer with a research, reader advisory or technology enquiry. It is an active role which will keep you moving.

- Hours of work - Permanent, part time (29 hours per week) Sun - Wed including one evening shift each week_
- $26.94 - $31.13 per hour_
- Location - This position is primarily based at Tūranga, Level 3 (and other floors as required)_

Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
