Super Lucky Takeaways in Rotorua is providing Smorgasbord, Chinese meal, fish & Chips, burgers and roast meats. Now we are looking for **2 full-time Chinese cooks** to join our team to cook our menu meals.

This is a full-time permanent role, immediate start after you are successfully offered this job. You will work 30-40 hours per week on the roster, minimum 30 hours guarantee. We open 6 days a week (Wed-Mon, close on Tue), 11am-9:30pm, so you should be able to work on weekend and night shifts. We offer an hourly rate of $28.20-30.00 per hour, negotiable, depending on your skills, qualification and work experience. Relevant work experience or qualifications in cookery will be an advantage.

**Key duties will include**:

- examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- preparing and cooking food
- seasoning food during cooking
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- may plan menus and estimate food requirements
- may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
- any other duties that may be assigned by the owner.

**Requirements**:

- At least 1 year of work experience in cooking Chinese food
- A relevant qualification at NZQF level 2 or higher
- Available to work on weekends and public holidays when required
- Clean police certificate
- Drug free
- Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
