Lucky 7 Takeaway in Rotorua is looking for a full-time Chinese Cook to join us, primarily responsible for cooking Chinese-style food on our menu. This is a full-time position, where you will work 30-40 hours per week on the roster (with a minimum 30 hours guaranteed), with an hourly rate of $28.20 to $30.00, depending on your skills, qualifications, and work experience. Please be aware that you will need to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.

**Key duties will include**:

- examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- preparing and cooking food
- seasoning food during cooking
- portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- may plan menus and estimate food requirements
- may train other kitchen staff and apprentices

any other duties that may be assigned by the owner.

**Requirements**:

- At least 1 year of work experience in cooking Chinese food
- A relevant qualification at NZQF level 2 or higher
- Available to work on weekends and public holidays when required
- Clean police certificate
- Drug free
