We are looking for a dedicated and committed **Delivery Driver (Class 1)** join our our Wellington Butchery located at Meiling, Lower Hutt.

**THE ROLE**:

- Full time permanent role
- Variable shift timings, early morning start
- 6 days/ week, Monday to Saturday
- Location: Pharazyn Street, Melling, Lower Hutt

**THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Deliver goods according to customer orders.
- Plan the most efficient delivery route for the assigned deliveries.
- Unload goods at destination in the appropriate place in a timely manner
- Assist with pick pack and loading of truck
- Gather any signatures, cash on delivery or credit returns required.
- Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirement
- Perform daily checks - oils, coolant, WOF etc.
- Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required.
- Assist in loading the trucks
- Help team in picking/dispatching at the need.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
The person we are looking for will be able to work unsupervised to achieve results. You will have
- a full Class 1 drivers licence, must be able to drive MANUAL
- Class 2 licence will be advantageous
- Have clear communication and customer service skills.
- Also would have reasonably good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
- Be confident, flexible and have attention to detail.
- Have prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
- Be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kg.
- Have a great attitude towards work and be fast learner.
- Possess good organizational and time management skills.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Have reliable attendance and transport.
