We are looking for a dedicated and committed **Delivery Driver (Class 1)** join our fast-paced Logistics branch located at Hutt Park Road, Wellington.

**THE ROLE**:

- Full time permanent role
- Shift start time 5.00 am on most days, Finish Time 02.00 pm (approx.)
- Days: Monday to Friday, alternate Saturday required
- Location: Hutt Park Road, Gracefield, Lower Hutt

**THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Deliver goods according to customer orders.
- Plan the most efficient delivery route for the assigned deliveries.
- Unload goods at destination in the appropriate place in a timely manner
- Assist with pick pack and loading of trucks
- Gather any signatures, cash on delivery or credit returns required.
- Fill vehicles with fuel and report on any maintenance requirement
- Perform daily checks - oils, coolant, WOF etc.
- Wash and clean trucks or other vehicles when required.
- Assist in loading the trucks
- Help team in picking/dispatching at the need.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
The person we are looking for will be able to work unsupervised to achieve results. You will have
- **a full Class 1 drivers licence, must be able to drive MANUAL**:

- Class 2 licence will be advantageous
- Clear communication and customer service skills.
- Reasonably good reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
- Have a great attitude towards work and be fast learner.
- Be confident, flexible and have attention to detail.
- Have reliable attendance and transport
- Prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.
- Good organizational and time management skills

You would be physically strong and fit; should be able to lift up to 25 kgs, and a team player with a positive attitude.

To be considered for this role, you must be a NZ citizen /Permanent resident or have the right to live and work in New Zealand.

**Salary**: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
