You love the big picture as well as getting down into the detail to see your vision through. You will have industry leading knowledge of urban development related matters and seek to push the envelope when it comes to innovative solutions to urban challenges.
In a collaborative leadership style, you will oversee the design of mixed use and residential-led masterplanning projects across Aotearoa, working within an interdisciplinary team to deliver award winning, impactful design outcomes that enrich communities.
You are a highly-capable designer across all scales and create enduring relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders and communities. You enjoy the multi-faceted nature of urban design and appreciate the overlap it shares with community participation, transport planning and development economics.
Key Responsibilities:
- You'll work across masterplan projects and collaborate within our ‘one studio' on the design of significant urban design and masterplanning projects of all scales, in Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond.
- Contribute to the design of places from concept through to planning approvals and beyond.
- Bring knowledge and experience in residential design, typologies and successful neighbourhood design
- Proactively propose design-led options/solutions to problems
- Lead the preparation of high-quality drawings and documents.
- Work effectively with clients, partners stakeholders and communities.
- Work collaboratively with project team members
You Will Have:
- A first degree in Architecture or proven related industry experience;
- Have 10+years experience and track record in leading projects
- Have a passion for urban design and masterplanning
- Big picture thinking through to design delivery
- Excellent working knowledge of residential typologies, thriving/healthy neighbourhoods
- A drive for excellence, innovation and to do things better/differently
- Excitement about working within complexity and the opportunity to collaborate within our ‘no boundaries' design environment
- Strong software knowledge and drawing skills - AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office
