As part of a newly formed Business Accelerator within the Woolworths Group, we are currently building a new customer proposition focused on digital convenience - Metro 60. Currently in startup mode, we are working hard to shape the proposition and build a team to execute on it. **About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
**We have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Manager to join the team. Reporting to the New Ventures Manager - Digital you will be responsible for the successful implementation of Metro60 in NZ including the training for our store teams across the Countdown store network.You will help to strategise and deliver continuous improvement to ensure that every customer experience is a positive one.

Key responsibilities will see you:

- Own and manage the ongoing implementation strategy of Metro60 into the Countdown store network
- Onboarding new stores and supporting them with training and ongoing development
- Travelling across New Zealand as required
- Managing ongoing relationships with Store Managers and online teams to ensure store teams are aligned with operational standards as well as the vision and strategy
- Collaborating with the key stakeholders, including CoundownX, NZ Operations and Metro60 Australia

To succeed in this role you will need to be a strong communicator with the ability to influence, have a passion for coaching and training teams ensuring their success and be able to work well under pressure.

To be successful in this position, you will ideally:

- Have experience working in a fast-paced and complex environment (i.e. Supermarkets, FMCG, Retail)
- Have proven experience as a Store Manager, Implementation Manager, Online Manager or Trainer
- Proven experience in influencing to achieve a mutual benefit.
- Have exposure to grocery, drinks or the convenience store industries
- Have an understanding of online/ecommerce
- Have coaching, training and leadership experience
- Have process development and implementation skills.
- Experience within the Countdown network would be advantageous for this role
