The Clinical Leadership team are in search of an experienced Senior Leader to take on the role as Head of the Office of the Chief Clinical Officer. The Head of the Office of the Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the Office of the Chief Clinical Officer and provide the Chief Clinical Officer with strategic and operational support for the successful operation of OCCO to maintain and enhance OCCO services and the implementation of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora priorities.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant graduate or post-graduation qualification in an area relevant to health or the public sector.
- Experience (in the range of 10+ years) in a large, complex organisation with multiple stakeholder and professional relationships and expectations, where a high level of organisational acumen and political nous was required to create and deliver strategic advice, planning processes, systems and accountability processes, risk management and operational delivery across a networked operation, with a multi-layered operating model.
- Previous senior management level experience in the public sector and/or health sector.
- Strong understanding of, and experience working in, the political landscape and machinery of government, the role of Crown Entities and other legislative responsibilities.
- Senior level experience delivering advice and operational outputs in a Crown entity or public service department (e.g., policy, legal, governance, ministerial).
