Risk Compliance and Legal Analyst Te tūranga - The roleIn this key role, you will be responsible for maintaining all terms and conditions of operations for the Exchange Settlement Accountholder System (ESAS) and New Zealand Central Securities Depository (NZClear). You will oversee and ensure that both the ESAS and NZClear systems comply with legal and risk frameworks and policies in place for RBNZ. Alongside this you will:

- Maintain and enhance the legal framework within which the Payment Services operate.
- Maintain risk management frameworks.
- Support FMI compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ō pūkenga - About youYou will have experience working within the financial services industry, with a focus on legal, risk and compliance related knowledge. You're familiar with and have a deep understanding of the legislative frameworks and the mechanics of the New Zealand legal environment. You are an excellent communicator and can build credibility and trust through your stakeholder relationships, whilst having the ability to think and act both strategically and tactically when needed. You'll also bring:

- Experience in interpreting legislation and providing legal and compliance advice.
- Experience in Operational Risk within Financial Services.
- An awareness of Payment and Settlement systems or exposure to NZClear, ESAS, Swift, or International Central Securities Depositories.
