**Ngā kawenga | About the role**

The Principal Adviser Business Partnering is responsible for producing high quality, insightful, and trusted information and advice to support the success of the Business Partnering function. This position will support the Director of Business Partnering and Manager Financial Analytics to ensure robust systems and processes are in place to enable the Business Partnering function to provide the business with clear, accurate and timely advice to support long term business planning and performance.

Some of the role accountabilities include:

- Provide support and advice to the Business Partnering function to ensure the function is set up to succeed with the required tools, systems, and processes.
- Analysing options to improve system and process performance of the Business Partnering function.
- Maintenance and continual development of systems and processes to ensure efficient, effective and automated customer reporting.

To be considered for this position, you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and experience with the following:

- Experience leading finance-based system and process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge and practical experience of financial tools and information systems - costing models, scenario planning, FMIS
- Advanced financial modelling capability (SAP, SAC, SAS and Power BI experience would be preferrable)
- Highly developed financial and/or analytical skills and experience in diagnosing complex issues quickly and accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and an understanding of key business drivers and fiscal implications
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to present complex information to a range of audiences
- Excellent relationship management skills and demonstrated success in working across business groups in a collaborative manner
- Proven experience in persuading and influencing people

**Utu ā-tau | Salary**

The midpoint of the salary range is $135,225 and the full range (85%-120%) is $114,942 - $162,270. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
