The Information Directorate delivers the ICT infrastructure and information tools to support the business and develops data, data products, information, and new tools for colleagues, customers, TEOs, and other agencies to support TEC's invest and champion goals.
**He angitūtanga**: About the Role
Reporting to the Manager - Applications & Digital Development, the purpose of this role is to lead the centre of excellence that delivers TEC's centralised testing function. You will be responsible for providing high-level technical expertise, planning, scheduling, mentoring, and embedding consistent and up-to-date testing practices across the testing team, a clear focus on growing our automation testing capability, as well as ensuring the use of appropriate tools and technologies.
- Leading and managing a team of Test Analysts and develop test automation practice within TEC
- Managing work output, being the escalation point for team members' issues, working on team performance and culture, coaching and developing team members.
- Organise and control the testing process and maintain the TEC Testing Guidelines Framework
- Develop and review test plans for all ID technical projects and ensure the use of suitable testing tools appropriate to the successful delivery of these projects.
- Work with the rest of the Information directorate in setting testing strategies, priorities and resourcing.
**He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for**:
This role would require a team leader who have the knowledge, skills, and experience of automation testing to be an expert/mentor when required to solve problems, and ensure the resourcing, processes and tools are created and maintained in order to meet demand and continuously improve testing services.
**You will bring the following**:
- Proven experience in building and managing a high performing team in an automation testing environment
- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting languages and other tools.
- Experience in developing comprehensive test plans, evaluate risks and devise test strategies for software products.
- Experience creating well-structured and functional test cases.

The salary range for this position starts from $122,148 up to $143,704 depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
