**About The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain an environment that supports the Valocity culture, ensures people are engaged in our business and in their roles.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the software development team.
- Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define project scope and priorities, and to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
- Foster an Agile, DevOps culture within the team, promoting collaboration, rapid feedback, and high-quality standards.
- Guide the team towards appropriate learning opportunities and provide appropriate coaching to encourage their professional growth and ensure high team performance.
- Coordinate with HR for recruitment, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution within the team and offboarding.
- Work closely with the team to identify and remove roadblocks.
- Ensure the team is using best practices for software development, including automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Measure and report on team performance, using metrics such as velocity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
**Key Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Software Development Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong technical background, with experience in Microsoft development technologies (.NET Core, Angular), DevOps, and Azure.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models, agile development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, including the ability to lead and mentor team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
