**Mō te tūnga | About the role**
The Operational Policy Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of regulatory, operational policy, and implementation advice for the Government’s land use, climate change, and environmental priorities.
In particular, the Analyst will contribute to and support the development of cost-effective and evidence-based analysis and providing robust advice regarding initiatives and interventions to strengthen the integrity of the forestry supply chain.

**Ō pūmanawa | About You**
- Tertiary qualification or working experience in resource management, economics, law, forestry, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of, and experience operating in, Government processes including Parliamentary processes and regulatory policy design and implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability in identifying risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Strong writing skills and an ability to quickly provide succinct, robust well-reasoned advice to decision-makers.
- Experience in establishing and effectively maintaining collaborative relationships with stakeholders, Māori, and Government agencies.
