**Full Job Description**

They are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team based in Newmarket, Auckland. They require this person to have the dedication for a multi-disciplinary design practice that makes them one of the best, someone who is in their
**ELEMENT** when they are involved on many diverse commercial and industrial projects. **Expectations of the role**
- Preparation of preliminary design concepts
- Providing design through the developed and detail design phases
- Providing producer statements
- Carrying out seismic assessments
- Working with our other engineers, in-house structural Revit technicians and architectural team
- Liaising with external consultants, councils and other territorial authorities
- Carrying out on-site observations and attendance to contractor queries
- Be part of the technical development of our team including providing design collaboration with our other engineers

**You must have**
- A Bachelor of Engineering degree from a NZ university, preferably with 1st Class Honors
- A minimum of 5 years proven structural engineering experience on commercial projects in NZ
- Civil engineering experience will be an asset but is not essential
- Preferably is chartered CPEng or on the way to become chartered
- To relish problem solving and finding design solutions
- A desire to commit to fulfilling our client’s needs
- Good communication skills - English
- MUST live in NZ, have NZ experience and have the right to work
