We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with excellent relationship and people skills to join our high performing Personal Lines Team based in Auckland, Christchurch, or Palmerston North as Technical Underwriter - Personal Lines assisting Technical Underwriting Manager. Ideally you will have at least 4 years of experience working in technical underwriting space and have excellent communication & relationship building skills with internal & external stakeholders.

**Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be responsible for**:

- Keep contact person to provide technical underwriting input for projects across all areas of the business.
- Ability to handle complex underwriting referrals and related enquiries from Broker channels where underwriting delegation is exceeded by referral teams.
- Provides support to the Technical Underwriting Manager, Personal Lines Operations Manager and the Personal Lines Team Leaders on setting and achieving broker SLAs. Being instrumental in process improvement & work in conjunction with Ando’s Broker Personal Lines Team.

**You show the following qualities**:

- Have 4 years of technical & market-facing expertise within personal lines insurance products.
- Possess exceptional communication skills across all mediums.
- Involved in Governance, Risk and Compliance.
- Be logical in thought process, inquisitive and have a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends.
