The Sales and Account coordinator is a crucial role within the Bluebridge Sales and Marketing team.This is an exciting multi-faceted role that showcases account administration, sales, marketing, event coordination and relationship skills within the Travel industry.
The purpose of the Sales and Marketing Coordinator is to support the Sales and Marketing team in the facilitation and organisation of all passenger accounts, marketing activities, and the coordination and delivery of all planned sales events and sponsorship activities to help achieve Bluebridge Passenger revenue targets.
This is a dynamic fast paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll make good use of your existing relationship development skills and learn new ones in a collaborative, small team environment. You’ll be adept at coordinating multiple priorities whilst ensuring a high level of service for our external customers across the Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries passenger business unit. A strong focus on sales, great relationship development skills, attention to detail, and a high level of personal presentation is essential. Travel, sometimes on the weekend, will be required as you’ll assist in representing Bluebridge and attending various sponsorship events, trade shows and industry events.
You will be based in our Head Office on the beautiful Wellington Waterfront on Customhouse Quay 40 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Trade and Partnerships Commercial manager to achieve Bluebridge revenue targets.
- Facilitation and organisation of Bluebridge Commercial Freight and Passenger accounts and partnerships.
- Coordinate the Bluebridge Sales team inbox and respond or co-ordinate a response from the right person.
- Facilitate and build relationships across our Commercial Freight and indirect Trade accounts and Partnerships.
- Assisting in facilitating and building relationships with all direct channels including schools, clubs, religious groups and others to proactively make Bluebridge the front of mind operator for Cook Strait ferry services.
- General support as required to the Trade and Partnerships Commercial Manager. Including famil requests, contract administration, account set up, event coordination, giveaways, agent point of sale, and participation in events.
- Assist in briefing materials into the Marketing team, including in the development of all sales collateral, including but not limited to, images (still and moving), sales brochures and presentations.
- Work alongside the Bluebridge Marketing and Communications Exec to Coordinate Bluebridge presence at direct-to-consumer events, as well as all Travel Trade events. These include TRENZ, Motorhome shows, and other events throughout the year as required.
- Work alongside the Trade and partnerships Commercial manager to represent Bluebridge offsite at various Travel Trade shows and industry events.
- Coordination of promotional materials and giveaways for events, key commercial and passenger accounts and partnerships.
- Guidance to the group booking coordinator across all Trade accounts and Partnerships.
- Work closely with the marketing team on the enews communications as required for all resellers and partnerships.
- Assist in the customer feedback process and customer reporting as and when required.
- Maintain a positive and facilitative relationships with all internal and external key relationships as noted below.
- Other sales and account coordination related projects as and when required.

Necessary Skills
- Two or more years in a sales or marketing role, ideally with an organisation with customer facing operations. You might have worked within Transport or Tourism and/or travel trade in a front-line capacity and be ready to take that next step in your career.
- Strong relationship development skills. Used to working with a wide range of external customers.
- Confident in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders both Internal and external, across the different areas within our organisation.
- Highly organised, adept at managing multiple priorities, and a strong planner.
