The opportunity:
The Senior Manager, Investment Solutions is responsible for the delivery of investment solutions of AIA New Zealand’s assets, focusing on managing and oversight of the internal and external service providers.

About the role:
- Input to strategic and tactical asset allocations incorporating AIA’s global house view, New Zealand regulations, and specific business unit constraints,- Contribution to ongoing (and future) projects within Investment and spanning multiple business units and- Manage regular reporting responsibilities to the Chief Investment Officer, Financial Risk Committee, and Investment Committees- Research investment opportunities and advocate for performance driven returns for investors.- Oversight of approved investment recommendations, including strategic planning, solution design, testing, operational considerations, and co-ordination of relevant stakeholders,- Fund manager selection and oversight of fund manager performance including alignment with objectives such as Environmental, Social, and Governance criteria where applicable,- Management and oversight of performance metrics and reporting provided by Group functions,- Collaboration with the Group’s three lines of defence risk and compliance functions, with investment governance responsibilities,- Participate in building a team culture that is empowered and supported

About you:
- A demonstrated ability to understand Investments Strategies, Assets and Liabilities and Fund Management Platforms.- An ability to manage and oversee internal and external relationships including with service providers.- People management and delegation skills.- A demonstrated ability to work with staff at all levels to solve business problems.- Understand the end-to-end cost drivers of Investment businesses.- Have an appreciation and understanding for the operational elements of fund management

**Qualifications**:
- Finance and/or Economics degree- CFA or Actuarial Qualification- 5+ years financial markets, financial services, or funds management experience- 3+ years managerial experience
