**JOB DESCRIPTION**

As Spa Manager, you will be in charge of the day to day operations at our Parnell spa and managing a small to medium team of wellness therapists, with whom you will work to deliver a top-notch luxury experience to our clients. You will also be required to work in our Ponsonby branch, Spa Ayurda. You will have a strong understanding of business practices and be on the lookout for marketing opportunities, as well as tracking client feedback to give suggestions to management. Your core work activities will include:

- Making sure all customers are greeted warmly upon arrival and given accurate forms
- Handling all guest complaints
- Implementing changes to systems and procedures as required
- Ensuring all bookings are done according to procedure
- Supervise and manage all staff
- Promoting Spa packages and promotions, and all such marketing initiatives
- Monitoring the Spa’s actual and projected sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded
- Developing and managing Spa promotions and other marketing initiatives
- Identify and recommend new products and/or treatment in accordance with best practices and competitiveness
- Ensuring high standards of Spa presentation and compliance
- Identify areas of improvement through monitoring comments and guest feedback
- Interview and hire new employees with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the Spa
- Develop, implement and maintain a Spa training program for new employees

You are dynamic, hardworking, and will be able to hit the ground running and take charge of operations with mínimal support.
- Accredited university degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 2-3 years proven management experience in the Spa industry, hotel, marketing, or related professional sector
- Outstanding phone manner, fantastic customer-facing skills and high level of personal presentation
- Strong communication skills
- A management style which inspires and motivates staff to rise to your level
- Strong ability to work independently and exercise your own judgement
- Strong understanding of business management and marketing best practices
- Familiarity with KPIs, targets, and retail practices
- Strong ability to manage, grow, and retain staff
- Reliable transportation and can commit to working some late nights and weekends
- Interest in Ayurveda and natural wellness is a definite advantage

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
