Our client is looking for a versatile marketing professional to join their small tight knit team in a well known NZ brand for a 3 - 4 month period covering a leave period.

You will play a critical role between the various marketing functions such as Brand and Digital Marketing, to deliver direct to customer marketing campaigns and initiatives. You will coordinate, develop and implement marketing strategies to grow the business.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage the ongoing optimisation and rollout of customer communications, including the new customer and retention processes
- Analysing and mine databases identifying key customer groups and opportunities
- Manage the development and execution of customer retention campaigns encompassing a variety of marketing channels
- Preparation of marketing and promotional briefs
- Develop, coordinate and execute communications to customers on product changes and promotional offers
- Lead social media strategy and content calendar
- Develop social media campaigns and content that deliver against business objectives
- Build positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, print/digital agencies and other suppliers, such as print and digital agencies, to achieve successful business outcomes
- Deliver marketing initiatives effectively on budget
- Undertake regular reporting and analysis on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns leading to customer acquisition and retention
- Maintain relevant marketing databases, compile statistical information and write reports
- Project managing marketing campaigns and awareness initiatives

**What you need**:

- Sound marketing ability
- Proven experience in life-cycle and trigger-based communications
- Confident in database management and analysis to drive marketing activities, including automation
- Experienced in a direct to customer marketing environment
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, including ability to work to tight deadlines
- High level problem solving and decision making skills
- Degree in marketing and business management or other relevant tertiary qualification, intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Design and content creation tools expertise (Adobe Suite)
- Experience in social media marketing and copywriting
