**The Organisation**

The Timaru District Council aims to enable democratic local decision-making and action by, and on behalf of communities, to promote the social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being of its communities in the present and for the future. With around 400 staff, there are a diverse range of roles from front facing community to support and technical specialists.

**The Role / Person**

The Timaru District Library is looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about reading and making a real difference in our community Foster a love of learning with the support of physical and digital library collections.

As the first point of contact for members of our community, you will play an essential role in the delivery of our awesome library services. You will be an excellent communicator with a can-do attitude and thrive on delivering exceptional frontline customer service. When it comes to all things tech, you will have it covered.

The role is permanent full-time offering 40 hours per week. The role involves working in Timaru in both the Adult Library and the Children’s Library. The hourly rate for this role is $23.65.
