**Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity**
The Pou Whirinaki (Executive Assistant) is primarily responsible for providing professional, executive and project management support to the Senior Manager Te Kaupapa o Toi Aotearoa. The role also supports the People and Capability team to build Māori cultural capability across the organisation.
Te Kaupapa o Toi Aotearoa is our Creative New Zealand organisational culture and a programme of work we are undertaking to build our Māori cultural knowledge, skills, and competencies (as individuals and as a collective) to have respectful, honest, and informed conversations; to be an excellent Crown and arts leader and trusted partner who provides great public value to all New Zealanders.
**Mōu Ake | About You**
You will have a grounding in Te Ao Māori and be confident in your ability to operationalise and embed cultural capability whilst working alongside the Senior Manager Te Kaupapa o Toi Aotearoa and wider organisation.
Ideally you will have strong administration, coordination, and project/ event management experience. However, we are open to considering up-and-coming kaimahi who demonstrate a strong appreciation of Te Ao Māori and who are passionate about driving the aspirations of Toi Aotearoa.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Lived experience and appreciation of Te Ao Māori.
- Excellent administration and organisational skills, including diary management and the ability to take minutes.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint.
- A strong sense of manaakitanga and an openness to sharing tikanga and Te Ao Māori values with the wider organisation.
