**The organisation**

This organisation’s mission is to drive improvement in quality and safety in health and disability services, to provide advice and to lead and coordinate improvements in health care in this sector. It works with clinicians, consumers and whānau to improve health and disability support across the private and public sector in New Zealand.

**The opportunity**

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Human Resources function for the organisation, and deliver people leadership strategies and operational activities. You will manage all aspects of the recruitment process, payroll, employment relations and be the first point of call for HR advice to managers. This will suit an experienced and confident self-starter who is motivated to deliver results in the key accountabilities of this role.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Strong HR generalist experience
- Great communication and relationship-building skills with teams and individuals
- Skills in diplomacy, discretion and a professional approach
- Knowledge and experience in public sector management and development
- Experience processing a payroll
