*ABOUT THE ROLE
*

If you live and breathe technology right from the Horizon 3 R&D ecosystems you’re connected with, all the way through to the implementation of key technologies and insights to solve challenging problems, then we have an amazing opportunity for you. We’re looking for an experienced senior leader to join us as our new Director of Technology in Christchurch.

In this role you will partner with our Product teams to match customer insights with technology insight to help us solve our customers’ future problems. You will partner with our Delivery and Operations leaders to ensure we are working with the best technologies, in the best way (Horizon 1), enabling exciting career paths for our people. And lastly, no technology path can work these days without security built in from the start, so this team is part of your remit.

If you’re the right person for this unique role you will be able to demonstrate you are an experienced builder of global R&D ecosystems, capable of feeding and informing our technology strategies and innovation programme. The resulting Jade Software technology strategy will be the foundational document you develop and curate, describing our Horizon 1, 2 and 3 direction.

Most importantly of all to succeed in this role you will be an accomplished collaborative and influencing senior leader. Ideally you will bring experience of technology leadership in a product company serving a regulated industry.

*Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Researching, defining and implementing Jade’s Technology Strategy
- Lead the strategic direction of technology; H1 - H3
- Influencing and collaborating with our talented technology leaders in our Delivery and Operations teams to ensure our use of technology is consistent and shared
- Providing thought leadership on technology and innovation both internally and externally
- Work closely with Product Management enabling us to develop current and future products and services
- As a Senior Leader, play an active role of setting company direction and strategy, and taking an active role to engage our people.

- An experienced, influencing leader with a deep love of technology
- Knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies
- Ability to inspire, engage and motivate individuals and diverse teams of developers, designers, architects, business analysts and quality assurance engineers.
- An outcome focussed mindset coupled with a strong appreciation and commitment to providing brilliant customer service.
- Experience providing technology leadership in a company developing products into a regulated environment would be beneficial
