And right now, we’re looking for a Team Member to join our ActivZone Indoor Sports Arena and Glenfield Pools and Leisure Centre. As a Team Member in our facilities, you will be responsible for our Learn to Swim, and Customer Service, and recreation assistant duties. These includes, but are not limited to: - Teaching people the basic principles of how to swim (we'll teach you how to do this) - Delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors during busy public sessions - Assisting skate session operation including serving food and supporting our Cafe - Helping centre management with administration and operational duties, including bookings - Supporting centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes **This is a permanent part-time 14-hours position. Our centre opens 7 days a day. The ability to work in the morning, evening, and weekends is essential.** **He kōrero mōu: About you** You will be a great swimmer and instructor, have a love of water, have exceptional customer service skills, and be able to communicate well with members of the public. Previous experience working with children would be beneficial. If you do have a recognised swim teacher qualification or previous experience as a Swimming Instructor, that’d be fantastic. However, we will provide full, comprehensive training that you need to excel in the job. If you do not have a recognised swim teacher qualification ,AUSTSWIM, or a first-aid certificate, you will be required to attend the following training dates below some days between Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4 pm: - 14th - 24th April 2025 - Swim 20 metres freestyle - 20 metres backstroke - Tread water for 3 minutes In addition to your swimming skills, we're looking for individuals with proven administration and communication skills, a track record of providing outstanding customer service, and excellent maturity and reliability.
